It is said that the Egyptian Museum of Turin is the second most important in the world after the one in Cairo. The unique feature of the Egyptian Museum of Turin is that it is dedicated exclusively to Egyptian art. It is also one of the oldest museums in the world, founded in 1824. Its foundation is due to the purchase, by King Charles Felix, of the collection assembled by the Piedmontese Bernardino Drovetti. Its expansion is linked to the excavations carried out by the Italian Archaeological Mission in the early twentieth century.
