The Royal Palace of Turin is located in the city’s main square. It was the official residence of the House of Savoy until 1864. Today, it is a state museum where visitors can admire the original decorations and furnishings dating from the 17th to the 19th century.
The tour of the palace takes place on the first floor, where you can see several rooms including the grand Swiss Hall, the three antechambers, the Throne and Audience Room, the Statute Room, and the Ballroom. On the same floor, you will also find the Chapel of the Holy Shroud and the Royal Armoury, which are included in the same itinerary and ticket.
The ticket also includes the Savoy art collection (the Sabauda Gallery) and the Archaeological Museum.
The second floor houses the private apartments, but they are not open to visitors on a daily basis. Tickets can be conveniently purchased online through the official Royal Palace website, helping you avoid weekend queues.
