EGYPTIAN MUSEUM SPECIAL TOUR: INSIDE ANCIENT EGYPT

This 4-hour private guided tour of the Egyptian Museum of Turin is designed for visitors with a particular interest in Ancient Egypt and its fascinating civilisation. Led by me, Maria Chiara Ambrosio, an art historian, the tour offers the time to explore the museum’s extraordinary collection in depth and discover what its objects can tell us about the people who created and used them.
Through statues, papyri, tombs, sarcophagi and everyday objects, we will explore different aspects of Ancient Egyptian history and culture: beliefs about death and the afterlife, daily life, religion, the organisation of the State, the lives and ambitions of great pharaohs, warfare and military power, as well as the techniques used to create works of art and everyday objects.
The aim is to gradually reconstruct the world behind the exhibits and discover how Egyptian society worked, thought, lived and imagined eternity.

A coffee break is included, giving us the opportunity to explore certain topics in greater depth and continue our conversation comfortably over a cup of coffee.

This tour is particularly suitable for Egyptology enthusiasts, history lovers and curious visitors who want to make their visit to the Egyptian Museum of Turin a truly unique experience.
