Are you looking for a panoramic viewpoint in Turin? Just a few minutes’ walk from Piazza Vittorio Veneto lies the terrace of the Church of Santa Maria al Monte dei Cappuccini:

From this terrace, you can enjoy an exceptional view over Turin: the entire historic center unfolds before you, including the Mole Antonelliana, the Basilica of Superga (on the right), the Po River, the Alpine chain, the Susa Valley, and the impressive Sacra di San Michele. On the left, you can also spot the Olympic arch.

This hill already had a strategic role in Roman times, with a fortress built to control and defend the bridge over the Po. From 1583 onwards, Capuchin monks settled here, and the monastery, together with the church, was built in the 17th century.

The church can be visited freely, while the monastery is closed to the public.

This viewpoint is accessible at all times: day and night, you can enjoy a breathtaking panorama over Turin.
